Employment

Agreements, departures, handbooks, and disputes between companies and the people who work for them.

Employment advice at the firm is for the company, and it is usually connected to a transaction, a departure, or a handbook that has drifted out of date.

We prepare employment and restrictive agreements, advise on separations, and defend or pursue disputes that grow out of those documents. When a sale of the business depends on keeping a manager, the employment terms are drafted with the lawyers handling the deal.

We also review handbooks and policies with an eye to what the company actually does, so the paper and the workplace describe the same place.
